piezometric limit
The point within a given flow path below which the flow direction is influenced by hydrostatic pressure. In cases where flow is confined to a planar structure, the piezometric limit can be identified as a point where the flow path changes from a dip-oriented to a strikeoriented trend. The piezometric limit is determined both by discharge rate and geometry of the openings. Used to describe karst aquifers with a discontinuous piezometric surface [14].
