dolomitic limestone
A limestone containing a significant proportion of the mineral dolomite but in which calcite is more abundant (e.g. 10-45% dolomite, 90-55% calcite). Many dolomitic limestones originate as calcite limestone that is subsequently affected by magnesium-rich water that replaces part of the calcite with dolomite [9].
