1. A small pimplelike cave formation, roughly oval in shape, generally loose, and having a core of mud [10]. 2. A partly or completely hollow hemispherical to nearly spherical speleothem, usually of gypsum or hydromagnesite, attached to a cave wall. Synonym: cave balloon.
