UIS Commission on Karst Hydrogeology and Speleogenesis

Dear Colleagues,

It is less than two weeks left before the deadline is over (December 17, 2012) for paper submission for 16th Congress of Speleology, to be held in Brno in 2013.

In the Congress program, the Special Session 1 "Speleogenesis and its Role in Karst Hydrogeology and Evolution" will be entirely devoted to all aspects of dissolution cave origin and development, as well as to the role of speleogenesis in karst hydrogeology, evolution of karst aquifers and karst landscape. Depending on number and thematic variety of papers submitted, this Special Session will be possibly structured into several more specific topics.

The UIS Commission on Karst Hydrogeology and Speleogenesis strongly encourages those colleagues who have not submitted papers yet, to use the remaining time to finalize your plans and submit your research results for presentation in the Special Session 1.

Please, note that there is also Session 6 "Speleogenesis' in the session list, which, according to an explanation by the organizers, will be devoted to speleogenesis not related to any hydrologic/hydrogeologic systems, e.g. volcanic, pseudokarst, etc.

To submit a paper, please go to this page and follow the instructions therein. You will have to prepare the paper according to the guidelines, and following the template which can be downloaded at the website.

Hope to see you in Brno,

Sincerely,

Alexander Klimchouk
