The British Caving Library (BCL, in its own building with
part-time staffing)contains many cave-related books
plus large collections of British caving journals
plus good collections of foreign journals from over
60 organisations.
Archive material is held in a secure archive facility
at the British Geological Survey, Nottingham.

Welcome to the British Cave Research Association (BCRA)

We provide the focus for cave research in Britain, with good links to Universities, and support the work of British cave researchers overseas. Cave and Karst Science is our peer-reviewed scientific journal. The Cave Radio and Electronics Group (CREG) Journal provides specialist technical information. Our other magazine, Speleology, provides information designed to be of interest to all cavers. The British Caving Library, housed in its own building near Buxton, holds a large collection of British and overseas books and journals and welcomes visits by prior arrangement.
