The next North-Central Geological Society of America Meeting will occur in Duluth, Minnesota, USA, on May 18-19, 2020.
Karst will be well represented at the meeting with two technical sessions:

Fractures and karst bedrock aquifers are the main groundwater sources on much of the north central region.
T28) Caves and Karst of the Midwest; Description: This session focuses on the caves and karst of the Midwest. Topics may include caves, epikarst, hydrology, pseudokarst, sinkholes, speleogenesis, springs, tracer studies, or any other karst-related topics from the Midwest.
Abstracts for these sessions are due February 18th and we would be delighted to have a strong showing of student presentations!
There will also be a field trip before the meeting on May 17th:
FT4) The Sandstone Karst of Pine County, Minnesota; Description: Visit the sinkholes, sinking streams, large springs, and caves that have developed in the very pure quartz sandstone of the Hinckley Sandstone of Pine County, Minnesota, USA. These classic karst geomorphic features are developed near Askov, Minnesota, and Banning State Park.
