Climate Change, The Karst Record
07.17.2022 - 07.20.2022

The main KR9 conference has been rescheduled to 17th-20th July, 2022, with peripheral activities 16th-25th July, 2022

Message from the organizing committee:

Save the Date!

The conference, Climate Change, The Karst Record, was originally scheduled for July, 2019, in Innsbruck, Austria, and then postponed to July, 2020.

Due to ongoing travel restrictions as well as national limitations on the gathering of large numbers of people, the conference is now scheduled for 17th-20th July, 2022, with peripheral activities taking place between 16th-25th July, 2022. Further details will follow in due course.

In the meantime, the KROnline monthly seminar series has been running successfully since December, 2020. The aim of the seminar is to bridge the gap in sharing research within our community whilst we wait for an opportunity to meet in person. Each seminar is scheduled for a different time to allow people from different time zones to participate. The programme and joining instructions are available here as well as the recordings for some of the past presentations.

This conference will bring together scientists and students to share the latest progress in the rapidly developing field of cave- and karst-based (palaeo)climate research. Following the successful meetings in Bergen, Norway (1996), Krakow, Poland (2000), Montpellier, France (2003), Baile Herculane, Romania (2006), Chongqing, China (2008), Birmingham, UK (2011), Melbourne, Australia (2014), and Austin/TX, USA (2017), the Climate Change: The Karst Record IX (KR9) conference will be held from July 12th-15th, 2020 at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
