UIS Commission on Karst Hydrogeology and Speleogenesis

The 2nd International Planetary Caves Conference will be held on 20-23 October 2015 at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA. Since the 1960s, researchers have speculated about the presence of caves on the Moon and Mars. To date, planetary scientists have identified more than 200 lunar and over 2,000 Martian cave-like features. This meeting will focus on their origin, means of exploration, and implications, and will consider the potential occurrence of caves in other planetary bodies in our solar system.

Abstract Deadline — Thursday, 6 August 2015, 5:00 p.m. U.S. Central Daylight Time (CDT -5).
