UIS Commission on Karst Hydrogeology and Speleogenesis

Volumes of the journal "Cave & Karst Science" (Transactions of the British Cave Research Association) from 1974 to 2005 are now available as free downloads at

http://bcra.org.uk/pub/candks/catalogue.html

To view more recent volumes go to

http://bcra.org.uk/pub/candks/index.html

There is normally an annual fee to access this content but BCRA Council have agreed to provide free access for 1 month to encourage scientists to read past papers and, hopefully, to take out a subscription to support future publications. So, if you would like to read David Lowe's latest paper on Inception Horizons ("Geological influences on cave origin and development in the Yorkshire Dales, UK"; issue 41(1), 2014)  or Trevor Faulkners detailed discussion of flow hydraulics in karst conduits ("Speleogenesis and scallop formation and demise under hydraulic control and other recharge regimes"; issue 40(3), 2013) go to the web site, click on the padlock and you will be taken to a site where you can either subscribe to the journal or obtain a free 1 month subscription that will allow you to download the papers.

Best wishes,

John
